To come to the Kaysersberg valley, to get around easily in the Pays des Etoiles (around Colmar) or to park in Kaysersberg, you will find here all the practical information you need, whether you are a coach driver, a camper or a car driver!

Are you coming by car to the Kaysersberg Christmas Market?

Parkings

The usual car parks around the city centre (Porte Basse, Allée Stoecklin, Schweitzer, Place Gouraud) remain accessible during the Christmas markets under the usual conditions (click here for all the practical information about car parks in Kaysersberg on the town's website).

You can also park in the Théo Faller car park (salle des sports - 20 rue des Tilleuls) for €4 (paid to the associations that manage the car park).

There is also free parking at the 5th Armoured Division car park in Kientzheim.

Park-and-ride facilities

To park easily in order to visit the Kaysersberg market, car parks and shuttles to the town centre of Kaysersberg Vignoble are at your disposal.

The park-and-ride facilities are usually organised every Saturday and Sunday during the Christmas market and offer parking for 4€ per vehicle:

Hinteralspach - Mauffrey (Zone artisanale de Hinteralspach)
DS Smith factory (77 route de Lapoutroie)
Car park Carrefour Contact (63 route de Lapoutroie)

Free shuttles from the park-and-ride facilities

Shuttles to the town centre of Kaysersberg Vignoble are usually organised every Saturday and Sunday from the Hinteralspach, Mauffrey and DS Smith factory car parks to Place Gouraud (located at the top of the town centre).

The free shuttles usually run every 15 minutes between 10am and 8.30pm, stopping at the Carrefour Contact supermarket car park (51 route de Lapoutroie).

Are you a coach driver?

Head to the bus park on the Rocade Verte. Your travellers can easily reach the city centre on foot in 3 minutes.
Rates: 35€ for 24 hours.

Are you a motor home driver?

Visiting Kaysersberg from Monday to Thursday ?

In Kaysersberg, you will find a year-round parking area designed specifically for campers, with services such as a drainage terminal and a water supply terminal. It is located at Erlenbad (Rocade Verte).

Visiting Kaysersberg and the Christmas market on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

During the Christmas weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays), the Erlenbad parking area is reserved for bus / coaches, therefore campers cannot have access to it.

But don’t panic ! :) A campers-only park-and-ride facility will be set at the football stadium (rue du Geisbourg). It is located near the Carrefour Contact parking lot, which will be the starting point of the free shuttle bus going down to the city center (stop at Place Gouraud at the top of the town centre), on Saturdays and Sundays only.

This campers-only parking area offers you draining services and water supply.

The parking fee is 10€ per vehicle for 24h : this sum will be fully redistributed to the Kaysersberg associations which will take care of the parking during these weekends.

It is also open from Thursday lunchtime for campervans. In this case, there will be no shuttle service on Thursday afternoon and Friday. In this case, there will be no shuttle buses on Thursday afternoon and Fridays, but you can take the pedestrian way along the Weiss river to walk to the city center (about 15 minutes).

It will be open on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th December, but without shuttle.

New in 2023: the Kaysersberg campsite is open every day from 23 November to the morning of 19 December 2023. The services on offer are drainage, water and electricity. There is no access to sanitary facilities, and no reservations are possible.

Visit the Christmas markets with the Christmas Shuttle

Avoid the stress of traffic during this beautiful winter season and wander around the Land of Christmas Stars peacefully thanks to the Christmas shuttle buses.

Take a shuttle bus between Colmar, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr or Ribeauvillé

Two bus lines serve the Christmas markets in Colmar, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé:

Line 1 : Colmar - Kaysersberg - Riquewihr - Ribeauvillé - Colmar
Line 2 : Colmar - Ribeauvillé - Riquewihr - Kaysersberg - Colmar

These shuttle buses will be available on Fridays (one every hour), Saturdays and Sundays (one every 30 minutes), during Christmas market time, from 24th November to 17th December 2023.

15€ per person and per day during the weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays) - tickets also valid to take Line 3 between Colmar and Eguisheim - illimited travels
Free for children under 12 years old
Free for Alsa Plus ticket owners.

Tickets on sale at the shuttle bus stops in Colmar, Kaysersberg, Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr, but also in the Kaysersberg Valley Tourism Office’s chalet and in the Tourism Offices in Eguisheim, Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé. You can also buy your tickets online to spare time !
